1. Who this applies to

This policy covers paid subscriptions to the FleetFixer platforms (Maintenance, Learn, and Race). We sell these plans business-to-business, to sailing clubs and other organisations rather than to individual consumers.

Because the contract is between FleetFixer Ltd and your club or business, the 14-day cooling-off right that applies to consumer purchases does not apply here. The terms below set out how cancellation and refunds work instead. Free plans and trials can be stopped at any time and are not charged.

If you believe you signed up as a private consumer rather than on behalf of an organisation, contact us at hello@fleetfixer.io and we will review your situation.

2. Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel a paid subscription at any time from your account settings. No phone call or written notice is required.

  • Your cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for.
  • You keep full access to the platform until that period ends.
  • We do not bill you again once the subscription is cancelled.

If you would prefer us to action the cancellation for you, email hello@fleetfixer.io from an address on the account.

3. Refunds

Subscription fees are charged in advance for each billing period. As a general rule those fees are non-refundable, and cancelling part way through a period does not entitle you to a refund of the unused time.

We will provide a refund where the law requires it, or where we agree one is fair. Examples include:

  • A billing error on our side, such as a duplicate charge or an incorrect amount.
  • A sustained failure on our side to meet the commitments in our service level agreement.

Where we approve a refund, we aim to issue it within 30 days to the original payment method. Refunds are processed through our payment provider, Stripe.

This policy does not limit any rights you may have under applicable law. Nothing here is intended to exclude a refund that the law requires us to give.

4. Your data after cancellation

When a subscription ends, we keep your account and its data for 30 days so that you can reactivate or export it if you change your mind. After that recovery window we delete it from our active systems.

A few categories are handled differently after deletion:

  • Anonymised analytics that can no longer identify a person or organisation may be retained.
  • Short-lived disaster-recovery backups are kept on a rolling basis and overwritten in the ordinary course.
  • Media held under the content licence described in our terms is dealt with as set out there.

If you need a deletion confirmed in writing, email hello@fleetfixer.io.

5. Exporting your data

You can export your data at any time, before or during the recovery window, in CSV or JSON format. This supports your right to data portability under Article 20 of the UK GDPR.

We recommend exporting a copy before you cancel, so you have your records to hand and are not relying on the 30-day recovery window.

6. VAT

FleetFixer Ltd is not currently registered for VAT, so the prices we quote exclude VAT and no VAT is added to invoices. If we register for VAT in future we will apply it to invoices at the rate then in force. See our company information for our current VAT status.
