The rules for using the FleetFixer platform suite — Maintenance, Learn, and Race. Written in plain English so you can actually read them.
Last updated: April 2026 4 min read
1. The platforms these terms cover
FleetFixer is a suite of three connected platforms operated by FleetFixer ("we", "our", "us"). These terms apply whenever you use any of them.
Maintenance
Fleet inventory, fault reporting, and maintenance logs for sailing clubs.
Learn
Interactive guides, quizzes, and games for sailors of all levels.
Race
Training logs, coach dashboards, and squad management for race programmes.
By creating an account on, accessing, or otherwise using any of these platforms you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information when you register and keep it up to date.
Account compromised?
Contact us immediately at hello@fleetfixer.io so we can help secure it.
Accounts for users under 18 on the Race platform must be created or approved by a parent, guardian, or club administrator. See our Safeguarding Policy for details.
3. Acceptable use
Use FleetFixer for what it was built for — running your club, training your athletes, and learning to sail. You must not:
Use the Service for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts, clubs, or our systems
Upload malicious code, viruses, or deliberately harmful content
Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without written permission
Interfere with performance, scrape data at scale, or abuse rate limits
Upload content that is defamatory, abusive, or that breaches someone else's rights
Share content involving minors in a way that breaches our Safeguarding Policy
4. Your content & our rights
You own the operational records you enter into FleetFixer — boat data, maintenance logs, fault reports, training entries, squad rosters, and so on. We don't claim ownership of those records.
You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, transmit, and display your content strictly for the purpose of operating the Service, keeping it secure, and improving it.
5. Photos & videos uploaded to the platform
Please read this section carefully.
It is different from the rules for your other content.
When you upload a photograph or video to any FleetFixer platform — including fault report images, maintenance photos, athlete or squad media, training clips, and marketing submissions — you grant FleetFixer a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, display, and distribute that photo or video for any purpose, including:
Operating, promoting, and improving the Service
Marketing, advertising, and social media content
Case studies, blog posts, news articles, and press materials
Training data for product features such as image classification or fault recognition
FleetFixer reserves full rights to all photos and videos uploaded to the platform. You confirm that you have the necessary rights and consents to grant this licence — including, where the media features identifiable people, their permission (or parental permission for minors) to be photographed and for the image to be used.
If you believe a specific photo or video should be removed — for example because consent has been withdrawn, or a person featured has requested it — contact hello@fleetfixer.io and we will review promptly.
6. Subscriptions & billing
Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled. Fees are charged in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; your plan will remain active until the end of the current billing period.
Individual athlete accounts on Race are free. Club, squad, and platform-suite pricing is listed on our pricing page.
7. Service availability
We aim to keep all three platforms available at all times, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, third-party outages, or events outside our reasonable control.
We'll make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance of planned downtime.
8. Limitation of liability
FleetFixer is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be lawfully excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
9. Termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting us or using the in-app account controls. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, pose a safeguarding risk, or harm the Service or its users.
After termination we retain your data for 30 days so you can recover it, after which it is permanently deleted. Backups may persist for a short additional period for disaster recovery.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify registered users of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect counts as acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
