Who owns what, and how to report infringing content with our notice and takedown process.
FleetFixer Ltd owns, or holds the rights to use, the intellectual property in the FleetFixer platforms (Maintenance, Learn, and Race). This includes the platform source code, our design and user interface, the FleetFixer name and logos, and the text, graphics, and other materials we publish ourselves. These are protected by copyright, trademark, and other rights.
We grant you a limited right to use the platforms under our Terms of Service. That right does not transfer any ownership of our intellectual property to you, and it does not let you copy, resell, or build a competing product from our code or design.
You keep ownership of the operational records you enter into the platform, for example your fleet data, maintenance logs, member records, results, and notes. We do not claim ownership of that content.
To run the service for you, we need permission to host, store, copy, and display your content as part of normal platform operation. You grant us a licence to do this under section 4 of the Terms of Service. This licence exists so we can provide the service you have signed up for, and it ends in the way described in the Terms when your content is removed or your account closes.
Photos and videos you upload are licensed to us more broadly than your other content, under section 5 of the Terms of Service, so that we can store, process, and display them across the relevant platform features.
Before you upload images or video of identifiable people, you must have their consent. Where anyone featured is a minor, you must have consent from a parent or guardian. If you cannot get the necessary consent, do not upload the media.
If someone withdraws consent, or you realise consent was never properly given, remove the media or contact us so we can help take it down.
If you believe content on the platform infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, email legal@fleetfixer.io with the following:
Please send accurate reports. Submitting a knowingly false or misleading notice may carry legal consequences.
When we receive a report, we review it promptly. If we are satisfied the content is infringing, we remove or disable access to it and record the action in our takedown log so we can keep track of repeat issues.
We will normally tell the person who uploaded the content that it has been removed. If they believe the removal was a mistake or that they hold the rights, they can submit a counter-notice to legal@fleetfixer.io explaining why the content should be restored, along with their contact details. We will consider counter-notices in good faith and decide what to do next.
Removing content while we investigate is not an admission that anyone is at fault. It is a precaution while we work out the right outcome.
